Why AAKIJA
Salons are the backbone of the UK beauty industry — a £7.5 billion market powered by independent business owners who are experts in their craft, not in technology. Existing software treats them like data entry clerks. We’re building something different: an AI layer that watches the business, identifies opportunities, and acts — but only when the owner says so.
AAKIJA is a small, senior team. Everyone ships. There’s no middle management, no spec committees, no feature factories. You’ll work directly with the founders on problems that matter.
How we work
- •Remote-first, UK-based. Work from anywhere in the UK. We meet in person quarterly.
- •Ship fast, ship often. We deploy multiple times a day. If it’s behind a feature flag, it’s in production.
- •Ownership, not tasks. You own outcomes, not tickets. We trust you to figure out the best path.
- •AI-native. We use AI tooling heavily in our own workflow and build AI features as a core product pillar.
